Founded in 1873, St. Vincent's Medical Center Southside formerly St. Luke's Hospital was the very first private hospital in Jacksonville, is the oldest private hospital in Florida, and joined the St. Vincent's HealthCare Family in 2008. The 313-bed facility, located on the Southside of Jacksonville, is a full-tertiary care hospital that serves inpatient, outpatient and emergency care patients. It maintains a community-based medical staff and excellent clinical support, strengthened by its affiliation with St. Vincent's HealthCare. By growing to meet the community's needs and by improving access to healthcare services, St. Vincent's Southside will continue to fulfill the mission envisioned when the hospital began more than 137 years ago
