The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was founded in 1830 by Joseph Smith. The church has more than 12 million members and represents over 50,000 missionaries in nearly 160 countries. It publishes the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ in more than 90 languages. The church organizes various religious practices, including baptizing, priesthood ordination, blessing of the sick, and naming and blessing ceremonies of babies. It also arranges family gatherings, Sabbath observance, marriages and funerals. Its family worship service, called sacrament meeting, is held in chapels for more than an hour. The church additionally organizes hymns, prayers and communion. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offers Sunday school classes, nursery, and several meetings, including primary, relief society and priesthood meetings.
