      Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America is a nonprofit organization that serves Vietnam-era veterans and their families. It operates the EtaBO (Employment, training and Business Opportunities), Homeless Veterans, Minority Affairs, Public Affairs, PTSD and Substance Abuse, Veteran's Health Care and Women Veterans committees. The organization also operates a disaster relief task force. Vietnam Veterans of America provides membership and fellowship services, as well as volunteer opportunities to veterans of the U.S. armed forces. It offers a range of community services. The organization organizes various events, including national meetings and conventions, state council meetings and leadership conferences.
