Love love this place in the summer. The outside bar is fun, classy, and romantic. Drinks are great and the hummus is to die for. Love their bands and live djs. The owners are always mingling with the customers, very charming! Always a good time here, wish they had 10 + heatlamps for the winter!

Excellent Excellent Excellent. The food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious as well as all home-made. Portions are plentiful and you are guaranteed to not leave hungry. The Chicken Kebob Platter with buttered rice is to die for. Atmosphere is great, and the full bar also brings in a youthful, but more upscale crowd, not common on the Rutgers side of Easton Ave. Definitely one of the best places I've ever eaten.

From the outside this restaurant does not look like much - but once you see the patio dining area and the outside bar you are sold. The food is middle-eastern inspired. I had the the feta salad for appetizer and it was excellent, unfortunately the gyro I had for the entree was kind of dry for my taste. However the beautiful surroundings made up for it.

We visited Evelyn's for an early Sunday dinner after seeing a matinee. The ambience is simple and cozy (and the outside patio looked terrific, but the weather was bad), the service was friendly and competent, and the wine list was interesting, with three Lebanese and several other wines by the glass. Lamb shish-kabob was tender, unusually tangy, and attractively served, with sides not even mentioned on the menu. Starters and salads were also very good and especially fresh. The Lebanese coffee was served with pretty cups and was rich but smooth.
