They have great pasta meals in here. They are so wonderful in here as well. They really know how to treat their customers in the most welcoming and warmest way.
I came in today with some friends we ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Limone, and the soup and salad. The soup was lukewarm and not that great, the salad was also really plain. The Chicken Parmigiana was delicious but the pasta was cold also. I would not come back here again the food was so-so and the price was fair we spent only $30.00.
the food is wonderful. Why, well the apple gorgonzola salad is abfab, the penne arriabiatta, or however you spell the spicey sausage and penne dish is-well-spice is nice- and pretty darn good, too. the service is so-so, which is typical nowadays, but who cares as long as they bring the food in a reasonable amount of time and don't interrupt you every few minutes asking if it's any good. I've eaten here before, don't remember what I had, but remember being it good enough for me to come back.
This restaurant is wonderful for the family or groups of four or more. The orders come in large portions so that they can be shared by all. And the prices are not bad at all. The food, traditional Italian, is delicious and sure to please all. This particular Buca Di Beppo has amazing decorations and was once a bank; the vault is still there!! So if you want a fun night with the family or group of friends, go here!
This place is too crowded and though the portions are HUGE the food tastes AWFUL!!!!! I hate coming here for parties. I would rather spend more money and get something I can eat
I love going to Buca with a big group or just my bf. I always have a fab time and the food is mighty tasty.
Fun place , the staff was friendly and helpful. Never had to wait for anything, prompt service. Not the place for romantic meals one on one conversation
GREAT GATHERING PLACE, HUGE DISH SERVINGS, HUGE DINING TABLE IN THE ""POPE'S' ROOM. VINTAGE PICTURES OF COMMON PEOPLE AND CELEBRITIES TOO- LOTS OF FUN.
As a very very picky consumer, I have to tell you that I was so impressed with our experience. I read online that you could sit in the kitchen. I made reservations for that table, and we had a blast. You literally sit in the kitchen, and get to watch the chefs at work. Everyone there was so helpful and courteous. The food was great and our server was the bomb. I read some luke warm reviews about noise and how it's not a dating enviroment. It is a family style restaurant. Ask for the kitchen table, you won't be sorry. Also, go online and download FREE coupons for either dessert or an appetizer. I enjoyed Buca immensly, and hope you do too.
We were overwelmed upon entering the lobby decorated with pictures that made us laugh and a host staff that gretted us immediately with a hello and a smile. We were seated promptly with no reservation and our server clearly explained the concept and ideas behind the restaurant and food. Rob was extremely knowledagble and humerous and made several suggestions including the Chicken Saltimboca (tender, tasty, and delcious), Linguinni with a white clam sauce (gret match with the chicken it was very good with a hint of red pepper spice) and the green beans (phenomanal). We had a great meal and a wonderful time thanks to our server and the rest of the staff.
Great food, good service, fun atmosphere for large parties! Awesome garlic bread!
the portions here is totally worth your money. the food is great 4 outta five times I've been there. though it does take a while for a table but I think the food is worth the wait and while you're at it go the bar and hang out with your crowd.
I see it as unfortunate that this is what some people consider good Italian food. Once you have good Italian, you can never go back...This restaurant is just another get them in and get them out kind of place. Fine if that is what you like, however if you are looking for a savory culinary experience, skip this restaurant!
If it is family style it is not romantic. This is a good spot and definitely a good value but I would NEVER go there on a romantic date!
The best aspect of this restaurant is the ability to accommodate a large crowd. If this is not your goal, Buca is not the place for you. If you only need a table for two, don't waste your time in line.
Buca Di Beppo serves is acceptable. However, be prepare to wait for a table. I made reservation at 7:00 p.m on a Saturaday but did not get seated til 8:15 p.m. Because I patiently waited for 90 mintues, the Manager gave me a free appetizer. The food is portion is very big (family style).
Consistently poor food in a restaraunt so noisy you can't talk to anyone at your table.
Worst veal marsala I have ever had
The atmosphere is interesting; 50's Italian-American kitsch. The service was very good. All of us were welcomed including my 5 and 2 year old.
Problem is, the food isn't very good. Sure you get lots of it, but one could easly open a can of marinara and boil a pound of spagetti at home. We ordered spagetti, eggplant parmesan and a pizza. The total came to $60+ after all was said and done. We had plenty of leftovers but it didn't seem much of a bargain nevertheless. It was fun once, but we don't need to go again.
For a family style dinner with family and friends, this is the place to be. But for a romantic dinner for two? No way! With all the loud noise and the families with small children, this does not make a romantic place. But if you just want a good meal with friends or family, then this is a fine place to dine.
My husband and I have been to Buca 5 or 6 times. Every time, we've had the best Italian food ever! I used to eat in Little Italy (in New York) often and loved the food. I always referred to Little Italy as ""the best Italian Food in the USA"". Then we went to Buca... WOW! Absolutely mouth watering! Incredible recipes to tempt the most experienced pallette. The atmosphere is such that you can bring the entire three generations of family and feel quite at home. It's lively atmosphere and service personalities can only add to the already charming experience. The bathroom has a life of it's own, too (playing an 'Only Italian' radio station.)
Simply the best ever!
A bit pricey, but worth every pennie!
